BIOGRAPHY
Oona Kapari is a highly
experienced recording and mixing engineer. She's
produced two Emma - nominated albums (the Finnish Grammys) in the
categories of Ethno-Emma and Critic's Choice, as well as recorded two
solo albums of her own. Both of which were selected as "Album of the Week" on Radio Helsinki. She holds a double
degree from Pop & Jazz Conservatory majoring in electric guitar and music technology. She then carried on deepening her
expertise with Grammy Award winning and nominated producers such as Andrew Scheps, Greg Wells and Emile
Haynie. After almost a decade as
an inhouse recording engineer at Finnvox Studios, the most renowned
music studio in Finland, she founded her own Kuohu Studio in Helsinki
followed by a rebel record label Kuohu Records releasing music from
female and non-binary writers and producers. She continues on working with interesting
music as well as taking part in public discussion about the music scene
and industry. In addition to producing and mixing, she helps artists by teaching them production, giving feedback about their songs and guiding them to finding their own path and sound. It's all about the sound.
